Connected assistant platforms
Connector supplement updated October 2, 2026. This section describes the CaterBid Concierge connector and supplements the rest of this notice.
When you choose to connect CaterBid to an external assistant platform, we receive the account-linking information and catering instructions you authorize through that connection. CaterBid verifies your existing customer account and records the platform client, granted permissions, authorization records and necessary browser session. Your password is checked by CaterBid and is not returned through connector tools to the connected platform.
Your event details may include its title, date and timezone, headcount, budget, food and dietary requirements, confirmed venue and verified contact email. Meal or dietary notes can reveal health or religious information; include only what is needed for catering.
The connected platform receives the tool results permitted by your connection. These can include the event brief, confirmed venue and contact email, request reference and status, and your available bids and their descriptions. The platform handles its conversations and received results under its own privacy notice. Clearly labeled reviewer samples are fictional test records, not real requests or offers.
If you use the venue lookup, the address you enter is sent to the U.S. Census Bureau geocoder after that disclosed browser action. Your CaterBid password, contact email and complete event brief are not included in the lookup. The returned address and coordinates require your confirmation.
You choose whether to connect a platform and separately confirm the exact event brief in CaterBid before submission. Submitted requests enter CaterBid's existing workflow and may be visible to participating caterers there. A sourcing request does not guarantee availability or fulfillment. The connector has no booking, bid-acceptance, card-collection, payment or administrator tools. Request submission is currently disabled in the restricted pilot.
Browser sessions expire within one hour, access tokens within ten minutes, platform grants within one day, unsubmitted drafts within thirty minutes, pending venue review within ten minutes, and saved venue/contact resources within thirty days. Reviewer samples expire within thirty days. Expired connector records stop granting access before automatic database cleanup; these lifetimes do not describe deletion from backups or copies held by a connected platform. Submitted requests remain subject to the existing account and request retention provisions of this notice.
Disconnecting revokes further access through that grant. It does not delete submitted requests or copies already held by the platform. Contact concierge@cater-bid.com for access, correction, request cancellation or deletion assistance. Use the platform's privacy controls for its own conversations and retained copies.
Read the CaterBid connector privacy notice for the connector's permissions, browser cookies and controls.
